About
Hello, I'm Damian.
I'm a senior software engineer in Sheffield, UK, currently building free-to-play iGaming products for clients like DraftKings — full solutions delivered on three-week cycles in a regulated industry. Alongside that, I build and run production AI systems: autonomous development loops on Claude Code, multi-agent audit pipelines for Web3 security work, and a personal-assistant harness that manages a real life — calendars, finances, health tracking, memory — through plain files and scheduled agents.
What this site is
Closed Loop is where those systems get written up properly. Each article is a working system explained from the inside: the architecture, the gates, and — most importantly — the failures. Nearly every rule in a good agentic system is a scar with documentation, and the articles keep the scars attached.
It's a learning resource for engineers building with LLMs, and a portfolio of how I work: state in plain files, verification by evidence rather than assertion, and separation of duties enforced by capability, not prompts.
Background
- AI engineering — agentic loops, multi-agent orchestration, Claude Code skills/subagents, RAG pipelines, evaluation.
- Production delivery — senior engineer at an iGaming company shipping for DraftKings and Caesars; remote contracts across iGaming and fintech.
- Web3 security — CosmWasm/Golang audit work with a custom multi-agent auditing system; paid bounty findings.
- Systems from scratch — I once designed and built an award-winning five-barrel microbrewery from raw materials, control electronics included. Whole-system thinking is the throughline.
